Are you getting fed up with being locked inside due to the pandemic? Are you bored and ready to spice things up? If you answered yes, there are definitely a few pandemic friendly activities you can try out with your family and close friends you may not have thought of.
Parking garage photoshoots
It's crazy what cool things you can find in your hometown perfect for a photo shoot. These were taken on the top floor of a CLE parking garage. Take some time to cruise around your city and find amazing photo destinations.
Blanket forts
All movie/ tv junkies unite. You are never too old to make a blanket/pillow fort. It is the perfect way to mix up your normal movie marathon. Try it out! There are so many different ways to get creative with it. I had fun putting up some lights in mine and making a cute little TikTok along the way.
Fast food taste test
Tired of cooking? Balling on a budget? Go to a few of your favorite fast food places and buy some grub off the dollar menu. Make sure to get the same thing from each of the places you go to find out which fast food places actually have the best fries, shake, or burgers.
Karaoke at home
There is nothing I love more than singing and dancing. I miss going out to bars and singing and dancing the night away; that's when I had the thought to bring that into the house! Most of us these days have smart TVs or fire sticks that can get YouTube, so why not use them for a karaoke night? My BF and I did this a few days ago, and we had so much fun singing duets together; I just don't think the neighbors appreciated it much! LOL!
Getting crafty
Time to get crafty! There are a plethora of ways to get crafty. You can focus on finding a new hobby, doing home renovations, or even getting crafty in the kitchen. Teach yourself how to create new cocktails and dishes to share with the family. Create scrapbooks or cute home decor like my mom. Or if you're like me, you can start teaching yourself graphic design or fashion design. It is completely up to you!
Learn a new language
Are you itching to travel somewhere new? Me too! But due to travel restrictions, we are unable to journey around the world (understandably so). However, if you want to feel closer to another country, you can take some time to research and learn about them and their culture; you can even learn a new language too! I have been dabbling in learning french myself. Bonjour Je m'appelle Darian et j'aime le français! That is about the extent of what I currently know, so I have a long way to go.
Clean out your wardrobe
Many of us have spent all quarantine online shopping and getting new clothes, and let's be honest, we don't even wear them. Why do you need new clothes when there is nowhere to go? You don't, and I don't either. What some of us have not done is a deep dive into our closets to get rid of unused clothing. Several people could use the clothes we have and do not utilize. Therefore, I recommend spending some time looking through your clothes and donating everything you don't need or don't wear.
Are these things you have already done? Do you think you will try any of these out? Let me know in the comments and thanks for reading! XO Darian
